Video Animation

The following video demonstrates the hypothesis of how one gets the subluxation that occurs between the occiput and the first cervical vertebra. Dr. Murphy coined the subluxation the Hatcher-Murphy Disorder (HMD) and he used this analysis and adjustment on the first patient he successfully treated with frozen shoulder syndrome, Pam Hatcher.  Pay particular attention to how posture affects one's susceptibility to acquiring HMD.  Interestingly, this technique’s affect on posture may hold the key to how powerfully it affects human neurology.
